- Girls whose EHCP names Burntwood School
- Up to 60 selective places, ranked by the Wandsworth Year 6 Test and then straight-line distance at an equal score
- For the 180 open places: looked-after and previously looked-after girls
- For the open places: girls with accepted exceptional medical or social need
- For the open places: girls meeting the published sibling criterion
- For the open places: eligible children of Burntwood staff
- For the open places: all other girls, ordered by straight-line distance
Sibling priority
The sibling must attend Burntwood at the time of application. The published definition covers a full sibling, a step- or half-sibling living at the same address, a child living as part of the family because of a court order, or a foster child placed by a local authority.
Children of staff
The parent must be directly employed by Burntwood for at least two years and/or have been recruited for a demonstrable skills shortage, and must work at least 0.6 full-time equivalent. The policy limits this priority to one place per form of entry.
How distance is measured
Wandsworth measures a straight line from the home property's mapped location to the central point of the school site using its official GIS. An exact tie is randomly ordered. A postcode-centroid screen is approximate rather than the council's official measurement.
