Sibling priority

Within every category, first priority goes to a girl with a sister at the school or a brother in its sixth form on the date of admission. Half, adopted and step siblings, and a child of the parent or carer's partner, qualify when the children live in the same family unit at the same address.

Children of staff

The second tie-break within every category covers a child whose parent has been employed by Gumley House for at least two years when the application is made. The policy says these pupils are considered applicants from Hounslow but publishes no separate borough-ranking subcriterion.

How distance is measured

After sibling and staff priority, Hounslow measures the walking route from the property's official address seed point to the nearest school gate used by pupils. An exact official-distance tie is randomly ordered. SchoolRange's postcode-centre straight-line distance is approximate and is not substituted for this measurement.

Evidence to prepare

• Gumley House's current Supplementary Information Form by 31 October 2026; the linked PDF has a stale 2022–23 running header, so confirm the current form before sending personal or religious information
• A Catholic baptism certificate or certificate of reception into full communion when claiming a baptised Catholic category
• Evidence accepted by Gumley House when relying on the policy definition that includes a looked-after child living with at least one Catholic parent
• A catechumen certificate or an Eastern Christian baptism or reception certificate when relevant
• A baptism certificate or faith-leader letter for another Christian denomination, or a faith-leader letter for another faith
• Proof of the permanent home address used for the application
• Sibling or employment evidence when claiming those within-category tie-breaks; the linked SIF has no visible staff-priority field, so confirm the evidence route with the school

Other published rules

• The home council's Common Application Form and Gumley House's Supplementary Information Form are separate and both are due by 31 October 2026.
• The policy lists many primary schools under a Feeder Schools heading, but its operative oversubscription rules do not rank attendance at a feeder school separately. SchoolRange does not add an unpublished feeder priority.
• If the final place is offered to one child from a twin, triplet or other multiple birth, all children from that birth are admitted even if PAN is temporarily exceeded.
• Waiting-list positions follow the oversubscription criteria and can move down as well as up when higher-priority applications are added.
• The admissions page still labels its appeals section September 2026 even though the same paragraph cites the 1 March 2027 allocation day; SchoolRange uses the determined 2027–28 policy and exposes the stale heading.
• The downloadable SIF is for September 2027 and gives the correct 31 October 2026 deadline, but each page retains a stale 2022–23 header. Families should confirm the current form and staff-priority evidence route with the school.
