- Within each band: all other applicants, ordered by Hounslow's official walking-route measurement
Sibling priority
The sibling must attend Rivers Academy when the application is made and be expected to remain there in September 2027. A Year 11 sibling counts only when the Common Application Form records an intention to remain into Year 12; a Year 13 sibling does not count.
Children of staff
Priority applies to full-time teaching staff and part-time teaching staff with at least a 45% timetable who have two years' continuous service, or were recruited to a hard-to-fill post. Contract and peripatetic staff do not qualify.
How distance is measured
Hounslow measures the walking route from the property's LLPG or NLPG seed point to the nearest pupil gate using Synergy and the Ordnance Survey MasterMap Highways Network. SchoolRange cannot reproduce that official route; postcode-centre straight-line distance is indicative only.

Other published rules
- The academy uses three ability bands: low, middle and high. Their shares follow the national ability distribution supplied by its external testing organisation.
